Holy & FaithfulFaithfulness
Colossians 1:2 “To the holy and faithful brothers in Christ…”
These are the 2 core aspects which summarize our actions as Christians: Holiness and Faithfulness. We have a call to be holy for God and faithful to others. From now on I regular ask myself “Have I been holy? Have I been faithful?” It is a good thing to go over your day and ask yourself “Where was I holy and how was I faithful today?“
When we are living holy, we are honouring to God. We are living out the 1st greatest commandment to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. There are many similar principles that we all try to live by, however God may still be challenging you individually to stop something or cut something out of your life. The Bible says that some consider one day as sacred and others consider all days alike, however each person should be fully convinced in their own mind.
When we are living faithful, we are honouring others. We are living out the 2nd greatest commandment to love our neighbours as ourselves. We all have things that God has called us to be faithful to, and he calls us to account on those things. It may be a ministry in church, it may be a person you are helping, it may be your friends or colleagues you are witnessing to. Our faithfulness is individual as God calls us each to our own purpose.
