Add Strength

Ezra 1:6 “All their neighbors assisted them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with valuable gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings”

The word “assisted” here actually means to add strength, to support, to make repairs or to make strong. It is the equivalent to the New Testament word “edify”.

Your calling is not your own, other people are destined to take part in it. Others are destined by God to support, strengthen and repair your vision and mission in life. Calling is a corporate thing, not a personal thing.

It is our calling to add strength to others’ callings.

Just as others are called to aid and assist your calling/purpose, you are equally called to aid others in theirs. Start to ask what your neighbors and friends in life are building? What are they trying to achieve and work towards? How can you add strength? How can you edify them and their vision?

I always love to encourage people to step out and do new things, to start something, to build something, to work out a vision into reality and I love to assist that!

Whatever God is calling your friends and family to; it is your responsibility to support and add strength to it.

  • Perhaps you will help lay the foundation to start something
  • Perhaps you will be scaffolding to build it bigger and better
  • Perhaps you will be the crane to aid with the difficult and heavy items.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each-other up…”
