Tom Angus – Persistent Prayer

Tom Angus – Persistent Prayer

Guest Posts

I have been reading a book called No Easy Road by Dick Eastman on Prayer. It has spoke to me about prayer, and that what we need in prayer is an attitude of persistence. Satan fears this persevering power in prayer, he hates to see persistent pray-ers.

I once heard a testimony of one dear lady: “For thirty-two years I have prayed that God would save my husband“. Then a tear glittered as she added; “And this week he bowed, accepting Christ as Saviour“.

Think of that, 32 years persisting in prayer, 32 years with 365 nights of intercession. Every time she prayed ETERNAL FLAMES spread before Her eyes, this is why she persisted, she saw the intense horror of a single soul, lost for Eternity. We see God’s intention when telling Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 29:12-13 “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you You will seek me and find me when You seek me with all your heart”.

David of old made a worthy statement. “The sacrifices of God are a Broken Spirit, a Broken and contrite heart O-God you will not despise” [Psalm 51:17]

Psalm 126:5-6 “Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of Joy- They weep as they go to plant their seeds- but return singing as they return with the harvest”.

This has shown me how urgent it is to look at people through the eyes of the lady who every time she prayed Eternal Flames spread before Her eyes.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
Were the a present far too small,
Love so amazing so divine,
Shall have my SOUL, my Life, my ALL.

Godbless, Tom
