Forsaking your GiftDaily Thoughts
Numbers 20:10-11 ““Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”. Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank”
Because of this one mistake, God prohibited Moses from entering the Promised Land. This seems a little harsh to me. What exactly did he do wrong? Surely it was nothing compared to the rest of the Israelites?
Number 12:3 “Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth”
Moses’ greatest gift from God was his humility. He was the most humble man on the face of the earth! Moses’ greatest mistake was becoming prideful and too confident of his own ability. He took the glory for bringing water out of the rock. Pride was Moses’ greatest mistake because his greatest gift was humility. He forsook his gift!
The biggest mistake of ‘encouragers’ is to discourage others
The biggest mistake of ‘teachers’ is to spread false ideas
- The biggest mistake of ‘leaders’ is to give up responsibility
Your biggest mistake is to be unfaithful with what God has gifted you with. That’s why some people seem to ‘get away’ with stuff more than others, because their mistake doesn’t relate to their identity.
