Efficiency & Effectiveness

Daily Thoughts

wpid-DAILY-THOUGHT.jpgColossians 1:29 “For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me”

What part of our faith should be easy, and what part should be laborsome? When should our effort kick in, in accordance with God’s transforming process?

It is out of God’s internal working that we labor.

Part of living an effective life is believing that you are gifted; believing that God’s grace & energy is already working within you. There is an efficiency within you (God’s grace and energy) that enables you to be effective (able and competent) in life.

Efficiency comes before Effectiveness

The problem is, we are always wanting the transformation to come before the task. We want to wait until God makes us able and competent before we set to work. The truth is he already has, you just don’t see it! Your God-given ability and competence is already within you, it just needs to be drawn out and effected through action.

Efficiency is shown through Effectiveness

Paul did not strive according to his situations, he strove according to his internal ability and energy. Your identity should not be defined by your situations and circumstances, your identity should define how you approach them! Your identity should be leading, not lagging!

Take a risk today, start something new, step-up at church and you will see that God has already made you competent and able!
